Green Lakes State Park, nestled in Fayetteville just east of Syracuse, is a stunning natural gem encompassing nearly 1,955 acres. At its heart lie two meromictic glacial lakesGreen Lake (about 195 ft deep) and Round Lake (180 ft deep.) It’s surrounded by a lush old‑growth forest, full of towering trees and wildlife, and offers a variety of activities: a sandy beach, kayak and rowboat rentals, hiking and biking trails, picnic spots, campsites, and even an 18-hole golf course. Perfect for a scenic, nature-filled outing with friends or family!


The park is open dawn to dusk and there is a $10 entrance fee per vehicle.
